What makes Eurovista Blinds different from other blinds on the market?
Eurovista Blinds are specifically designed for European tilt and turn windows. Our blinds are only 1 inch deep, allowing them to fit seamlessly within the window frame and behind the window handle, ensuring full functionality of the window without obstruction. Additionally, our blinds are mounted securely at both the top and bottom of the frame, so they stay in place even when windows are tilted open—a feature that’s rare in traditional blinds.
Are Eurovista Blinds suitable for sliding doors and folding doors?
Yes! Eurovista Blinds work on sliding doors and narrow folding doors due to their slim profile, which prevents interference between door panels. If you’re unsure, contact us with your window or door dimensions to confirm compatibility.
How wide are the blinds?
Our blinds are a sleek, 7/8 inch thick, making them the narrowest blind on the market.
Can the blinds be motorized?
Currently, we do not offer motorized options due to the very narrow blind profile.
Are Eurovista Blinds' cordless?
Yes, all of our blinds are cordless for a sleek, minimalist appearance and enhanced child safety. You can learn more about blinds safety: Child Safety: A Top Priority at Eurovista Blinds.
How are Eurovista Blinds installed?
Installing our blinds is quick and easy—no professional help needed! Whether you choose inside or outside mounting, the process is straightforward and can be done with just a few basic tools. Plus, we offer online guides and video tutorials to walk you through every step: Installation Instructions
Can I install the blinds myself?
Yes! Most customers find our drill-free installation easy to complete on their own with our step-by-step instructions or videos.
Each set comes with step-by-step instructions and all the necessary mounting hardware for a hassle-free installation.
What is the best mount adhesive for my blinds installation?
We offer two adhesive options for secure, drill-free installation:
VHB Tape (shipped with your blinds) – This high-strength adhesive tape is shipped with your blinds and provides a strong bond for quick and easy installation. If you anticipate needing to remove your blinds in the future, the VHB tape is a better option.
JB Weld Clear Syringe Epoxy – We are unable to ship this option direct with your blinds due to international customs. But this two-part epoxy is our recommended option for long-term stability, offering a more permanent and durable bond over time. This is the better option if the blind mounts will never be removed, as removing the JB Weld requires a solvent to break down the adhesive.
What are the advantages of using VHB tape to mount my blinds?
VHB tape is ideal for those looking for a fast and simple installation. It offers a strong grip. However, over time, exposure to humidity and temperature changes may reduce its long-term hold.
Why do you recommend JB Weld Clear Syringe Epoxy for a more permanent bond?
JB Weld Clear Epoxy forms a chemical bond that remains stable over time, making it more resistant to environmental factors like heat, humidity, and aging. If you want the most secure and long-lasting installation, we highly recommend this option.
What are measurement deductions for the windows and why are they necessary?
Measurement deductions from the raw window measurement ensures a proper fit for your blinds when ordering. These adjustments account for clearance, mounts, and smooth operation. The deductions vary depending on whether you choose an inside mount or an outside mount.
For inside-mount blinds: deduct 6/16 inch (0.4 inches) from the total width you submit. This ensures the blinds fit within your window frame without rubbing against the sides.
For outside-mount blinds: deduct 1/4 inch (0.25 inches) from the window width. This slight reduction ensures the blinds are not oversized while still covering the window area properly
Should I adjust my measurements to account for these deductions or are they automatically subtracted from what is submitted?
Yes, you should make the deduction when measuring. Providing the correct adjusted measurement will ensure your blinds fit as expected.
For inside-mount blinds, subtract 6/16 inch (0.4 inches) from your exact window width to ensure a proper fit.
For outside-mount blinds, subtract 1/4 inch (0.25 inches) from your total desired coverage width.
Why is the inside mount deduction larger than the outside mount deduction?
Inside-mount blinds need extra clearance to operate smoothly and fit within the frame without scraping. Outside-mount blinds, on the other hand, do not require as much of a deduction since they sit outside the window frame.
How much window frame depth is required for inside mounts to attach properly?
Your window frame must have at least 1 inch of flat space for the inside mount to fully attach. This ensures a secure bond and proper support for the blinds. If your window depth is less than 1 inch, the mount may not have enough adhesive to hold effectively.
In this case, an outside mount is the perfect solution, as it attaches to the outside of the window frame, eliminating the need for a specific depth requirement.
Shoud the height of the window be adjusted with deductions as well?
No, there are no deductions needed to the height. Since there is no mounting hardware that requires clearance, the full height of the window opening will be the height of the finished blinds.
How does the fabric choice (fabric family) affect the price of my blinds?
The fabric you select plays a significant role in the overall price of your blinds. Different fabric families vary in cost based on factors such as material composition, weave complexity, light-filtering properties, and durability. Additionally, premium designer fabrics or custom textures may come at a higher price.
Do light-filtering fabrics provide privacy?
Yes, light-filtering fabrics allow natural light to illuminate your room while still providing complete privacy. You can choose the level of light filtration based on your preferences and needs.
Will blackout fabrics block all light?
Our blackout fabrics block most light but won’t achieve 100% darkness. Honeycomb-style blinds block more light due to their design, but some light may still enter through side clearances or around the rails.
How can I tell what the fabric looks like in real life?
All of our fabrics are available in the Fabric Gallery and have been named to match their closest Sherwin Williams paint color, so if an appropriate paint chip(s) will give you a close indication of what fabric color.
Or you can order Fabric Samples directly from our website. Feeling the material in person will help you choose the perfect fabric for your space. Our samples let you assess color, texture, and light filtration to ensure they match your décor and privacy needs.
How do I clean the blinds?
You can use a low-suction hand vacuum, a soft cloth, or a feather duster for routine cleaning. For stains, we recommend consulting a local window treatment cleaning specialist. Always test cleaning methods on a small, inconspicuous area first.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Our custom blinds are made to order and typically ship from Europe within 2-3 weeks of your order. Delivery times may vary based on your location, but typically most customers receive their blinds in about a 7-10 days from shipment.
You’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships so you can track it directly.
